Mentoring Program

DZL Academy Mentoring Program "Careers in Respiratory Medicine"

Professional mentoring network of the DZL Academy. Bringing together basic and clinical scientists to make translation happen. Learn from your peers, set your goals and pursue your career development.

Aims

The DZL Academy Career Mentoring Program “Careers in Respiratory Medicine” aims to foster a network of excellent early career scientists and clinicians working in biomedical sciences/medicine and to raise future lung research community leaders for executive-level positions requiring management and leadership skills.

As each career path requires a different skills portfolio and each individual brings his or her own professional background to it (including soft skill expertise and previous mentoring experience), “Careers in Respiratory Medicine” focuses on supporting each fellow individually in their career orientation and progression.

Target Group

  • early career clinicians that are active in research
  • postdocs that aim for a career in respiratory research
  • junior principal investigators that aim for leadership positions
