DZG Innovation Fund 2023/24

The DZG Innovation Fund (DZGIF) is a joint research funding program of the German Centers for Health Research. Every year there will be a coordinated research topic, which allows active participation of all DZG (2023/24: Microbiome).

The aim of the DZGIF is to strengthen the networking between its members, to facilitate joint research and thus to create interdisciplinary synergies between the DZG. With the founding of the DZGIF, the centers are pooling their expertise to enable and finance promising, cross-disease research ideas that advance knowledge about the prevention and treatment of common diseases.

For the 2023/2024 call for applications, around 1.5 million euros are available to finance two cross-DZG projects. The prerequisite for funding a project is the participation of scientists from at least three of the six DZG.
